The Pacific Bioterrorism Curriculum Development Project approaches training for public health emergencies via problem-based learning educational methods in interdisciplinary settings. During project period 1 (2003-2005), the focus disciplines included medicine, nursing, EMS, and medical technology. The focus disciplines for project period 2 (2005-2008) are mental health, dentistry, and pharmacy.
