Professor, Director, Asia-Pacific Institute Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases and Chair, Department of Tropical Medicine, Medical Microbiology and Pharmacology

Research interests: Professional training in zoology, entomology, parasitology, virology, epidemiology and tropical disease ecology, with extensive experience in laboratory and field epidemiologic research, and in managing complex, interdisciplinary research and public health programs. Principal interests are in developing effective surveillance, prevention and control programs for vector-borne diseases.
