Alan D. Tice, M.D., FACP
Associate Professor

Research interests:
Dr. Tice joined the faculty of JABSOM after many years in the practice of Infectious Diseases in Tacoma Washington. His interests and expertise have been in the areas of Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) and clinical practice (IDSA Clinician of the Year in 1996) and clinical research.

Since joining the faculty in 2001, Dr Tice has been involved with teaching medical students and residents and community physicians. He has also been as active politically with the IDSA, AMA, and other organizations.

His particular research interests include investigations of staphylococci in the environment, viral hepatitis, antimicrobial resistance and use, quality measures and outcome indicators in medicine.
